Job Title: QC Lab TechnicianJob Description

This position is responsible for performing quality inspection in accordance with the requirements for ISO, FDA QSR, and company policies. The role involves testing raw materials, in-process, and finished goods using various analytical instrumentation such as HPLC and GC. The technician will also perform failure investigations under supervision.

Responsibilities
  • Decontaminate, clean, and sterilize glassware and other containers.
  • Monitor and maintain laboratory equipment, including calibration.
  • Prepare media and reagents for laboratory use.
  • Conduct routine product and raw material testing of samples.
  • Recognize and communicate unexpected results promptly.
  • Complete Out of Specification forms, Non-conformance Reports, and Incoming Rejection Forms for nonconforming or rejected items.
  • Revise standard operating procedures under supervisor’s direction using Quality software.
  • Participate in investigations related to complaints, failures, calibrations, and equipment.
Essential Skills
  • Proficiency in chemistry and laboratory procedures.
  • Familiarity with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
  • Ability to use analytical instrumentation such as HPLC and GC.
  • Competence in product release testing.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Entry-level science graduate with preference for chemistry or biochemistry degrees, or an AA degree with 4 years of industry experience.
  • Experience in documentation (GMP) and chemical testing.
Work Environment

Work is performed in warehouse, office, and controlled environment areas. The individual must be able to work indoors in high temperatures and humidity, especially during summer months. Exposure to moving machinery, lift trucks, and hazardous substances may occur in the warehouse area. Physical requirements include walking, standing, reaching, pulling, pushing, and lifting up to 50 pounds. The role involves occasional bending, stooping, and crouching, as well as frequent repetitive movements of both hands. Good hearing, vision, and color distinction are also necessary.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $25.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
