Position Title: QC Laboratory Technician

Location: Dallas, Texas

Description:

The Laboratory Technician provides hands-on support for daily laboratory operations, sample handling, basic testing, and equipment upkeep. The Laboratory Technician ensures smooth and efficient laboratory workflow by preparing materials, performing routine tasks, and maintaining a clean, safe, and compliant laboratory environment. The Laboratory Technician works under the direct direction of the Quality Control Team Leader and supports the site QC Chemist and broader QC team in delivering accurate and compliant testing activities.

responsibilities:

  • Prepare samples, reagents, and materials required for testing, and perform basic laboratory measurements under established procedures
  • Manage sample receipt, labeling, storage, and disposal in accordance with procedures: support stability pulls and preparation.  
  • Operate and maintain basic laboratory equipment, performing routine checks and calibrations: escalate issues to the site QC Chemist or Quality Team Leader when needed.
  • Monitor, organize and replenish laboratory supplies to maintain availability of reagents, consumables, and materials.
  • Record data accurately and legibly in accordance with data integrity (ALCOA+) and documentation expectations.
  • Follow GMP, ISO, and internal procedures for all laboratory activities and support audit readiness through organized, compliant documentation
  • Work with the QC Team Leader to prioritize daily tasks and support production flow.
  • Assist the site QC Chemist with sample preparation, instrument set-up, and routine laboratory tasks, and collaborate with Operations and Supply Chain as needed
  • Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe laboratory environment, following all safety procedures and reporting hazards or concerns promptly.
  • Support continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to enhance efficiency, accuracy, or reliability in routine lab activities.
  • Perform other laboratory support duties as assigned to meet operational needs

qualifications:

Required

  • High school diploma or equivalent (associate degree in a scientific discipline preferred)
  • Basic laboratory or manufacturing experience (academic or industrial)
  • Basic familiarity with laboratory equipment (e.g. balances, pipettes, pH meters etc.)
  • Basic understanding of laboratory safety practices

Preferred

  • Experience in a GMP, ISO, or other regulated environment
  • Experience with sample handling, labeling and chain-of-custody requirements
  • Exposure to equipment checks, calibration or verification activities
  • Familiarity with data integrity principles (ALCOA+)
