Job description

Position Summary:

Sort and visually inspect incoming products from our vendors to make sure our customers get the best product MacKenzie-Childs has to offer.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities: (Additional duties may be assigned)

85% Breakdown and sort loads by sku making sure the counts are correct and palletize each sku at 52-inch height to be put into pallet racking. Inspect received goods by using the invoices for the shipment. Inspect product by opening cases/boxes paying attention to detail of how product is packaged. Visually compare product to the image in NetSuite comparing decoration, size, and function of pcs. Also counting Prep pallets by wrapping, placing header sheet, and transfer inventory via NetSuite. Then physically move pallets to pick up location via pallet jacks.

10% Working on Assembly jobs (Kitting napkin sets, putting pillowswith furniture, or putting shades with lamps.)

5% Working on a laptop or an iPad by recording pass/fail quantities within NetSuite inspection queue.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

This position does not have any supervisory responsibilities.

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Previous quality control experience

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Basic Computer Knowledge.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to communicate verbally clearly and concisely and in writing.
  • Strong organizational skills

Computer, printer, photocopier, scanner, calculator, Hand tools, and pallet jacks

Computer Software: Outlook, Word, Netsuite

Physical and Mental Requirements:

  • Ability to sit, stand, walk, talk, hear, reach, push, pull, lift, use fingers, grasp, feel, and perform repetitive motions of hands or wrists.
  • Exerts up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently or constantly to move objects.

Environmental Conditions:

Work is performed in a typical Warehouse environment.
