Quality Control Manager - Airport Operations
The Professional Group (TPG) is seeking an experienced and motivated Quality Control Manager to oversee janitorial and facility support operations within a fast-paced airport environment. This leadership role is responsible for ensuring service excellence, maintaining contract compliance, managing personnel, and serving as the primary point of contact for operational and customer concerns.

Key ResponsibilitiesOperational Management
  • Ensure all contract specifications and service requirements are performed in a satisfactory manner.
  • Oversee Shift Supervisors, Quality Control staff, and Custodians across multiple operational areas.
  • Conduct daily inspections of recurring services to ensure quality standards are met.
  • Schedule custodial personnel and periodic project work.
  • Allocate work assignments effectively to maximize productivity and efficiency.
  • Coordinate the distribution of equipment, materials, and supplies.
  • Manage equipment maintenance programs and ensure operational readiness.

Customer Service & Communication
  • Assemble and provide reports to customers as requested.
  • Report maintenance deficiencies and facility concerns to customer representatives promptly.
  • Maintain positive working relationships with airport stakeholders and clients.

Staffing & Leadership
  • Ensure employee appearance and professionalism meet company and client expectations.
  • Provide leadership, direction, and performance management to supervisors and frontline staff.
  • Correct performance deficiencies and implement improvement plans when necessary.
  • Review payroll for accuracy and completeness.

Quality Assurance & Compliance
  • Perform routine quality inspections and audits.
  • Maintain project files, including:
  • Work orders
  • Supply requests
  • Inventory reports
  • Equipment requests
  • Inspection checklists
  • Employee schedules
  • Ensure facility security and energy conservation procedures are followed, including securing doors, shutting off lights, and maintaining compliance with airport regulations.

Training & Development
  • Supervise all training programs for new and existing employees.
  • Instruct employees on proper cleaning methods, safety procedures, and maintenance standards.
  • Conduct and document training in the following areas:
  • Chemical handling and safety
  • Cleaning tools and equipment
  • Dusting and spot cleaning procedures
  • Restroom cleaning, disinfection, and dispenser replenishment
  • Carpet care and maintenance
  • Hard surface floor care
  • Safety and compliance standards
  • VCT stripping and waxing

Qualifications
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of management experience in janitorial, facilities, environmental services, or related operations.
  • Experience managing large teams in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and respond effectively to customer needs.
  • Experience conducting inspections, audits, and quality assurance reviews.
  • Excellent computer skills, knowledge Clentelligent or similar inspection application, Excel and demonstrated skills in database management and record keeping
  • Ability to work flexible schedules, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and on-call responsibilities.
  • Airport, transportation, or large-scale facility experience preferred.
  • Must be able to pass all required background checks and security clearances.
  • Specialized training in employment law, compensation, organizational planning, organization development, employee relations, safety, training, and preventive labor relations, preferred.
  • General knowledge of employment laws and best practices
