Job description

Autoliv's primary goal is to Save More Lives. Our products never get a second chance. This is why we can never compromise on quality. We are working to increase vehicle safety by developing seatbelts, airbags and steering wheels and you can be part of our team as Engineering Quality Technician.
In this role you will beresponsible for ensuring that automotive components and products meet quality standards, customer requirements, and regulatory specifications. You will support manufacturing operations through inspections, testing, and process monitoring, while identifying and resolving quality issues. Working closely with Production, Engineering, Suppliers, and Quality teams, you will help drive corrective actions, continuous improvement initiatives, and compliance with automotive quality systems to ensure product safety, reliability, and customer satisfaction.
Should you be interested in overseeing these tasks and aiming for enhanced performance standards, your role will involve:
  • Ensure product and process compliance with quality standards, customer requirements, and regulatory specifications.
  • Conduct inspections, testing, and data analysis to evaluate product quality and identify improvement opportunities.
  • Develop, maintain, and enforce quality standards, control plans, inspection methods, and testing procedures.
  • Support root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions to address quality issues and improve reliability.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Quality teams to drive continuous improvement, process capability, and operational excellence.

If you have/are:
  • High school diploma or GED required; technical degree and/or ASQ certifications preferred.
  • Proficiency in the use of measurement and inspection equipment, with the ability to accurately analyze and present measurement data.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications.
  • Knowledge of quality management systems, including ISO 9001 standards, production documentation, and product traceability requirements.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, including root cause analysis techniques and a basic understanding of statistical principles and sampling methods.
