Your role and responsibilities
In this role, you will have the opportunity to inspect internally produced parts. Each day, you will ensure that only compliant items are released to the next stage and finally delivered to the customer. You will also showcase your expertise by employing standard test protocols and applying specifications to ensure quality.
The work model for the role is: Onsite
You will be mainly accountable for:

  • Conducting inspections for molded parts, drilling, stamping, grinding, and welding operations to engineering drawing and specification requirements, to ensure the parts and products meet requirements.
  • Supporting quality control needs and activities for supplier quality, production quality, testing, and validation, as applicable.
  • Assisting in specific quality-related training, promoting a passion for quality and integrity in all actions, with a focus on result orientation.
  • Reporting quality issues data, ensuring adherence to quality management system at all stages.
  • Inspect parts using necessary gauges, including x-ray equipment
  • Performs Quality audits/inspection in molding department, as required
  • Support continuous improvement activities
Qualifications for the role
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a Quality Control or Manufacturing environment
  • Must be able to facilitate and communicate well with production, supervisors, and co-workers
  • Good leadership, problem solving, and analytical skills
  • Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US

While hourly pay rate is determined by things such as the successful applicant's qualifications and experience, this position is expected to pay starting between $23-$28/hour (plus $1.50/hour shift differential). 3rd shift hours are 11:30 PM- 8:00 AM Sunday - Thursday.
