Sun Nutraceuticals is a growing manufacturer of dietary supplements. We are seeking a reliable & motivated Quality Inspector to join our team. POSITION SUMMARY
The Quality Inspector is responsible for performing in-process and finished product inspections throughout the dietary supplement manufacturing facility. This role ensures all products are manufactured in compliance with current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) as outlined in 21 CFR Part 111. The Quality Inspector plays a critical role in maintaining product quality, safety, and regulatory compliance.ย 
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Conduct in-process inspections during manufacturing and packaging operations to ensure adherence to batch records and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Perform visual and physical inspections of incoming raw materials, in-process intermediates, and finished products forย quality, and compliance with specifications.
  • Verify line clearances and room clearances prior to the start of each production run to prevent cross-contamination.
  • Review and verify batch production records, labels, and packaging materials for accuracy and completeness.
  • Collect and submit samples for laboratory testing, including identity, potency, purity, and microbiological analysis.
  • Initiate and support investigations for out-of-specification (OOS) results & deviations.ย 
  • Monitor environmental conditions (temperature, humidity) and sanitation practices within production areas.
  • Verify that equipment calibration, cleaning, and maintenance records are current and complete.
  • Communicate quality issues and trends to production staff and QA management in a timely manner.
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
Education
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Associateโ€™s degree or coursework in a scientific discipline (Biology, Chemistry, Food Science, or related field) preferred.
Experience
  • 0โ€“2 years of experience in a quality orย manufacturingย within a cGMP-regulated environment preferred.
  • Dietary supplement, pharmaceutical, or food manufacturing experience is a plus.
Knowledge & Skills
  • Basic understanding of cGMP regulations under 21 CFR Part 111 (training provided).
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written procedures accurately.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills for documentation and reporting.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & WORKING CONDITIONS
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods (up to 8ย hours per shift).
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs.
  • Work is performed on the manufacturing floor; exposure to powders, capsules, and cleaning agents is expected.
  • Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), including hairnets, gloves, safety glasses, and steel-toed shoes.
  • May be required to work rotating shifts, weekends, or overtime based on production schedules.
