Role: QA/QC Inspector
Location: Westfield, Indiana
Shift: 1st Shift
Work Schedule: 6:30 AM – 2:00 PM
Position Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented QA/QC Inspector to perform inspections and quality audits of manufactured products to ensure compliance with quality standards, specifications, and regulatory requirements. This role is responsible for providing independent and objective evaluations of final assemblies and documenting inspection results within device batch records. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, the ability to interpret technical drawings, and a commitment to maintaining high-quality manufacturing standards.Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform in-process and final inspections of manufactured assemblies and components.
  • Conduct quality audits and document inspection findings accurately.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and specifications.
  • Utilize precision measuring instruments including calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other inspection equipment.
  • Analyze product failures, identify root causes, and recommend corrective actions.
  • Maintain accurate inspection records, device batch records, travelers, and quality documentation.
  • Ensure product traceability and support resolution of quality issues.
  • Interface with engineering teams regarding new product development, inspections, and non-conformance investigations.
  • Follow company safety procedures, quality standards, and current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP).
  • Communicate quality concerns, issues, and solutions effectively to quality management and cross-functional teams.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance inspection processes, product quality, and operational efficiency.
  • Maintain positive working relationships with internal teams and external visitors/customers.
  • Ensure all job-related documentation and procedures remain accurate and current.
Qualifications:
Required Education:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Experience:
  • 0–2 years of experience in Quality Assurance, Quality Control, Inspection, Manufacturing, or a related field.
  • Experience in a regulated manufacturing environment is a plus.
Required Skills:
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Proficiency in using measuring and inspection equipment such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
