Job description

General Summary
The QC Supervisor will ensure that all products meet the company's quality standards, comply with industry regulations, and maintain customer satisfaction. This role is essential for maintaining the integrity of the manufacturing process and product quality.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
• Supervise and lead a team of quality control technicians to ensure that all products meet the specified quality standards throughout the production process.
• Identifies any bottlenecks or delays in the inspection department and makes necessary changes to optimize efficiency and quality.
• Develop and implement QC protocols, standards, and procedures for all stages of the extrusion process, including raw material inspection, in-process monitoring, and finished product testing.
• Perform regular audits and inspections of production equipment, materials, and finished goods to verify compliance with quality specifications.
• Ensure that all Quality documents are being recorded and stored appropriately. Maintain accurate records of calibration items, set up and maintain quality lab.
• Monitor production trends and quality data to detect potential problems and recommend improvements in processes, materials, or techniques.
• Coordinate with production teams to ensure smooth communication and resolve any quality-related concerns during the manufacturing process.
• Conduct routine training for QC team members on quality standards, testing methods, and safety protocols.
• Maintain detailed records of quality inspections, test results, and corrective actions for traceability and reporting.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable safety, health, and environmental regulations within the QC department.
• Support product development and process improvement initiatives by providing input on material selection, design specifications, and manufacturing processes.
• Assist in the development of new quality standards and specifications in collaboration with the engineering and production departments.
Qualifications
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in quality control or relevant manufacturing experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in plastics extrusion or similar industries.
• Proven experience in managing and leading teams of people.
• Strong knowledge of quality control methodologies and including inspection techniques.
• Familiarity with industry standards and regulations, including ISO 9001, ASTM, and other relevant quality certifications.
• Proficiency in using quality control tools such as calipers, tape measure, spectrometers, and other testing equipment.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail with the ability to assess data and make informed decisions.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment with minimal supervision.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.), and experience with quality management software is a plus.

• Ability to understand verbal and written instructions in English; ability read and write English
• Ability to read and understand technical documents such as drawings
• Ability to identify problems and find viable solutions
• Ability to understand and use basic math and numbers, and to use a computer, and calculator
