Metals USA has an immediate opening for a QualityCoordinatorin the Waggaman, LA facility.TheQuality Coordinatoris responsible for monitoring the working conditions of the entire facility to ensure that all activity is compliant with Company quality policies and procedures. The QualityCoordinator enforces company quality guidelines, inspects products and processes to ensure compliance with quality standards.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provides quality control support and record keeping as part of the company's quality control process.
  • Assists with the implementation of quality improvement strategies and company initiatives.
  • Inspects various products for defects in material and nonconformance during processing.
  • Inspects materials after processing following procedures to ensure it is properly prepped.
  • Maintains accurate and current documentation of testing procedures and results using appropriate tracking mechanism(s).
  • Assists with maintaining compliance with company policies and quality procedures.
  • Prepares required results and/or information and assists with inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
  • Retrieves files and product quality information as needed for reviews and Quality staff.
  • Assists with preparation of documents/records for review, duplication, and distribution as appropriate.
  • Files documents and maintaining their confidentiality and security.
  • Ensures compliance with applicable with quality standards.
