Job description

The Solvere Technical Group is seeking a Quality Control Specialist to join the team.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Senior Team lead for verification and validation of electronics gear installed and operating onboard Navy vessels.
  • To include navigation, communication, and computer hardware and software.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
  • High School diploma or GED, related military experience, trade/industrial school graduate or equivalent.
  • Three (3) years professional experience solving technical problems.
  • Trained in the skills and techniques related to engineering and/or software design/maintenance.
  • Possess a practical understanding of engineering concepts.
  • Ensures that the product/service and process meet quality and safety standards.
  • Experience includes testing equipment to make sure that the process operates effectively and safely.
  • Candidate shall be able to interpret plans and drawings and contribute to the design and fabrication of test specimens.
  • Shall have experience in computer aided drafting (CAD), ability to prepare shop drawings for model construction, and be familiar with material specifications and fabrication methods.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: :
  • Three (3) years of hands-on experience with US Navy Navigation equipment and systems, to include one (1) of the following four (4) areas:
    • Systems Requirements, Operational Requirements, Test & Evaluation, and Training.
    • Recognized expert who has demonstrated industry and public service leadership in US Navy Navigation equipment and systems.
