Job description

Quality Control Oversight

  • Manage daily QC workflow and ensure timely completion of all pre-funding and post-closing reviews.
  • Coordinate monthly loan file selection and submission to third-party QC vendors.
  • Review vendor findings, identify root causes, and ensure corrective actions are implemented in accordance with regulatory requirements, investor guidelines, and Bank policy.
  • Provide timely feedback to QC vendors and escalate issues to management when appropriate.
  • Monitor and report on the Bank's defect rate, trends, and loan-level findings.
  • Coordinate responses to QC and audit findings for senior management and the Board of Directors.

Audit & Compliance

  • Perform secondary reviews of a sample of vendor-identified findings to ensure accuracy and consistency.
  • Perform post loan review on a sample of all lending products.
  • Track, follow up, and ensure timely closure of all open audit items.
  • Identify red flags, potential misrepresentation, or deficiencies within loan files.
  • Support internal and external audits by providing documentation and responding to information requests.

Recordkeeping & Reporting

  • Maintain complete and accurate QC records for pre-funding and post-closing reviews.
  • Prepare and distribute QC reports to business units, senior management, and the Board.
  • Maintain documentation of employee training related to QC and investor requirements.

HMDA Responsibilities

  • Review HMDA data for accuracy and completeness.
  • Assist Compliance with HMDA data collection, validation, and reporting.
  • Support preparation of compliance-related reports required by Bank policy.

Training & Communication

  • Facilitate the monthly Quality Control Committee.
  • Communicate guideline changes and QC-related updates to relevant departments.
  • Participate in training initiatives and stay current on regulatory and investor changes.
  • Monitor training of new and existing employees related to QC processes.

Other Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with senior business leaders.
  • Assist Risk Management with regulatory and audit information requests.
  • Participate in special projects and perform other duties as assigned.
