Role description:

Arcadis is looking for a Quality Control Manager (f/m/d) specializing in Data Centers to lead and ensure quality, reliability, and compliance throughout all the development phases. The role involves preparing the quality control processes for the development in coordination with the client and the project stakeholders, coordinating with technical teams and suppliers involved, and ensuring all stakeholders meets the agreed quality procedures and levels.  

This position will suit a highly motivated Project Managers with demonstrated experience in data centres to consolidate their career within the leading global Design & Consultancy firm for natural and built assets, joining a successful team with exceptional Multinational clients.

Our ideal candidate will have technical background and good personal soft skills with innovative and digital orientation. Will be part of our team of experts in Data Centre projects and reporting to the project director.

Role accountabilities:

As a member of the Data Center team the tasks to be performed include:

  • Implement, and maintain a data centre-specific quality management system (procedures, checklists, inspection protocols) in coordination with the project stakeholders.
  • Plan and attend inspections and tests during design, construction, commissioning, with the relevant responsible stakeholders.
  • Oversee non-conformance management: identification, root cause analysis, corrective and preventive actions, and follow-up.
  • Coordinate and prepare internal and external audits and manage communication with the different parties participating in the project.
  • Collaborate with the client, the Arcadis team, the engineering, suppliers, and contractors to ensure execution meets technical specifications and industry standards.
  • Review and approve quality-related technical documentation.
  • Stay updated on data centre, standards, and best practices, recommending continuous improvements.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Demonstrated experience in Data Centre projects and knowledge of data centre systems (PDUs, UPS, generators, HVAC (CRAC/CRAH), structured cabling, racks, fire detection/extinguishing systems).
  • Degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial) or equivalent technical education.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in quality control or quality assurance within data centre projects, industrial construction, or critical infrastructure.
  • Strong knowledge of data centre systems.
  • Project management competencies, multidisciplinary team coordination, and vendor/contractor liaison.
  • Availability to work on site in the proximities of Zaragoza. Spain. 
  • Fluent technical English; additional local language proficiency is a plus.
  • Technical rigor and attention to detail.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and work ethic.
