About the role
As the Quality Control Specialist, you will play a key role in Computacenter United States Inc's Integration Center, handling the inspection of in process and finished builds to ensure work product meets design specifications and/or manufacturing requirements. In this role you will perform line packaging activities along with applying rejection labels so as to clearly identify defect work products.
Compensation: $25 USD/hour
What you'll be doing
  • Partners with business leaders to deliver services that support company objectives and that are consistent with Winning Together values.
  • Physically inspects production builds during and after the manufacturing build lifecycle.
  • Performing quality inspections during build manufacturing to determine if the finished work product meets approved requirements.
  • Identifying and addressing in process build quality defects in a timely manner to reduce the opportunity for repeated failures.
  • Recording in process build quality inspections to determine acceptance of work completion and perform root cause analysis in order to prevent future occurrences.
  • Tracking the number of Quality Control defects identified during the inspection.
  • Accept or reject completed work items along with working with IC production teams to resolve rejected items.
  • Potential for unpacking of product and re-packing of product.
  • Potential for shrink wrapping, labeling, palletizing products and participation in physical inventory.
  • Operating a hand truck, and other tools/machinery to move materials or items from warehouse to production or other designated work areas.
  • Communicate effectively both verbally and written with personnel at all levels in a professional manner.
  • Function in a team environment and receive direction and guidance from Supervisor with minimal supervision.
  • Detail orientates and the ability to lead multiple activities.
  • Understand and abide by all security polices, company and operational policies.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

What you have
  • High School Diploma or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 1 to 2 years of experience working in Quality Control or Quality Assurance.
  • Manufacturing experience in high-tech industry preferred.
  • Legally eligible to work in the United States
  • Able to meet the physical requirements of the usual and customary methods of performing the job functions, including: a variety of standing, sitting, and walking throughout the day; significant stooping, kneeling, crouching, and/or
    crawling; repeated twisting at the torso while lifting and pulling inventory from shelves; regular lifting of up to 50 pounds; usage of pallet jacks; carrying, pushing, and/or pulling; frequent climbing, including ladders, and
    balancing; and significant fine finger dexterity.
  • Able to read and interpret documents such as warehouse management system work order, pick list, design documents, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Able to work as directed and have a high-level of attention to detail.
  • Able to follow directions and communicate clearly with other departments.
  • Must have strong computer skills: MS Excel, Word, and Knowledge/use of ERP, WMS, or similar warehouse management systems.
