Dimeo Construction Company is seeking aย Quality Control Managerย to support our growing Connecticut region, based inย New Haven, CT. This role is an opportunity to bring Dimeo's Master Builder mindset to life by helping project teams deliver work with precision, consistency, and pride.ย ย 

Your Missionย 

The Quality Control Manager will leadย Dimeo's Quality Control Programย across one or more projects,ย partnering closely with field operations,ย projectย leadership, trade partners, clients, and design teams toย identifyย risks early, uphold Dimeo'sย high standards,ย andย support successful project outcomes.ย In this role, you willย help ensure each project reflects our commitment to quality, accountability, and doing things the right way.ย 

Your Roleย 

  • In conjunction with the project team, this position guides,ย expedites, and administers the Dimeo Construction Quality Control Programย in accordance withย the project schedule and budget.ย 
  • Develop the project specific Quality Control plan, the Definable Feature of Work (DFOW) log, the Test & Inspections matrix, the Mockups & Benchmarks log, and setup Procore toย facilitateย the program.ย 
  • Be a resource during the preconstruction effort through the development of the Guaranteed Maximum Price, as requested.ย 
  • Maintainย strongย Client, A/E, Subcontractor,ย andย Trade Workerย relationships throughout the project cycle and beyond.ย 
  • Coordinate and chair all pre-installation meetings, initial / pre-start meetings, and weekly quality meetings.ย 
  • Identifyย andย assistย in resolution of major project quality issues with the Project Manager / Superintendent.ย 
  • Maintain clientย objectives, ensure needs areย addressedย andย continuedย client relations beyond project completion.ย 
  • Coordinate and lead project meetings to discuss critical issues and foresee potential exposures, strategies and resolve issuesย relatedย to quality.ย 
  • Verify existing project conditions and build into schedule,ย logisticsย and scopes.ย 
  • Identify risks and develop strategic plans during the preconstruction and construction phases.ย 
  • Support the project team throughย scopeย review meetings.ย 
  • Perform inspections during construction and oversee testing, with special emphasis on roofing, windows, doors, siding, waterproofing, and other areas atย high riskย for water intrusion.ย 
  • Ensure Quality Control Program reporting requirements are beingย fulfilledย and required meetings are being conducted.ย 
  • Manage andย monitorย the tools in Procore to ensure all procedures of the Quality Control program are being followed.ย 
  • Develop andย maintainย a detailed and thorough summary of project Lessons Learned, Best Practices, and AHA Moments and present this information in the team Operations Meetings.ย 

What We Expectย 

  • Experience leading or supporting construction quality control programs on commercial building projects, ideally with exposure to healthcare, higher education, life sciences, or complex institutional work.ย 
  • Strong understanding of building envelope systems, inspections, testing protocols, mockups, and documentation practices, with particular attention to water intrusion risk.ย 
  • Ability toย coordinate andย partner effectively with project teams, field operations, trade partners, clients, architects, and engineers to resolve issues and keep work moving forward.ย ย 
  • Proficiencyย with Procore or similar construction management platforms used to track quality activities, documentation, inspections, and follow-up items.ย 
  • Clear communication, meeting facilitation, and relationship-building skills, with the confidence to lead quality discussions and hold teams accountable.ย 
  • A proactive, detail-oriented mindset with the ability toย identifyย risks early, develop practical solutions, and maintain Dimeo'sย high standardsย from preconstruction through closeout.ย
