Job description

BioPhase Solutions specializes in recruiting top talented professionals for Southern California's Scientific community. We are currently looking for a QC Chemist to work for a leading Orange County area contract development and manufacturing company.
Pay Rate: $30-40/hour DOE
Contract: 2-3 months
1st Shift - Mon - Fri with flexible start times (6-9am start times)
Summary:
The QC Chemist position will act as an individual contributor in the QC Analytical team, supporting raw material and finished product release, method qualifications (verifications, transfers, validations) and stability studies. The QC Chemist will execute chromatographic testing (LC/GC) with minimal supervision. Spectroscopic and wet chemistry testing will be performed independently. Participates in method qualifications and lab investigations.
Responsibilities:
  • Independently execute QC chemistry testing to support routine manufacturing activities, new product method development and stability testing.
  • Participate in protocol design for qualification of new methods and subsequent authoring of new procedures.
  • Perform testing in compliance with relevant regulations. All activities are performed in GMP/GDP environment.
  • Assume role of SME and trainer for individual techniques/instrumentation
  • Maintain the laboratory working areas in a clean and organized state.
  • Any and all other duties assigned by immediate supervisor.
Experience/Requirements:
  • BS/BA in Chemistry
    • Recent grads may be considered
  • 0-4+ years of Experience in a GMP QC Laboratory
  • 0-4+ years in Pharma or Med Device preferred
  • Experience executing method qualifications in a GMP environment preferred
  • Wide range of analytical chemistry experience (chromatography, spectroscopy, wet chemistry, etc.).
  • Demonstrated advanced skills in LC/GC analyses.
  • Competency with routine software programs (i.e. MS Word, MS Excel).
  • Aptitude to learn complex software programs (i.e. Labware LIMS, Empower 3).
