Job description

QC Chemist

OTC & Personal Care Contract Manufacturing
Full Time Immediate Opening Salary: Open (please include requirements with resume)
We are a growing OTC contract manufacturer serving the pharmaceutical and personal care industry. This is a hands-on QC role at the center of our quality operation you'll own analytical testing across the full product lifecycle, from incoming raw material through finished product and stability, with the autonomy to author SOPs and drive qualification projects.

Position Responsibilities

Perform QC chemistry and analytical testing on incoming raw materials
Conduct in-process and finished product testing; review batch records
Perform product stability studies
Conduct microbiological testing
Perform water system testing and monitoring controls
Execute IQ, OQ & PQ validation on equipment, including analytical instruments (spectrometers, etc.)
Perform routine calibration of laboratory instruments
Calculate, record, and compile assay reports
Author and revise QC chemistry SOPs
Maintain laboratory cleanliness and organization
Perform all work in accordance with cGMP and applicable FDA regulations

Education

BA/BS degree with a major or minor in Chemistry

Experience & Requirements

Minimum 3 years of experience in the pharmaceutical, OTC, or personal care industry
Substantial hands-on experience with QC testing of bulk, final, and stability pharmaceutical products
Demonstrated experience with water system testing and controls (required)
Solid working knowledge of cGMPs, FDA pharmaceutical regulations, and SOPs
Familiarity with pharmaceutical manufacturing environments and processes
Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
