Job description

Position Summary...What you'll do...Serves as the primary resource for QC associates across office and floor operations, ensuring alignment with Walmart specifications and commodity defect standards. Applies advanced knowledge of QC tools and systems (for example, SharePoint, Tableau, Power BI) to support data-driven decision-making. Executes cold chain compliance and inbound HACCP processes throughout the warehouse to maintain food safety and regulatory standards. Acts as the main point of contact for productive floor operations, ensuring inbound deliveries are prioritized based on level of service. Collaborates with Supply Chain teams to forecast workload and staffing needs, adjusting for seasonal demands, PTO, call-ins, and overtime. Monitors and enforces unloading, loading, and put-away procedures, holding associates accountable for workflow and quality standards. Provides clerical reporting to Supply Chain and Operations Managers on QC performance and operational impacts. Owns all productive metrics required of QC, including inspection, team performance, and TTR return %. Oversees operational audits, including shipping, HACCP, meat, and banana audits. Accurately and effectively communicates standards and expectations around performance metrics to QC team members. Reports productive metrics daily to QC team verbally and electronically. Creates ever-evolving reports to Operations/Senior QC Managers that support business needs. Holds associates accountable through difficult conversations, coaching, write ups, or similar efforts on operational or behavioral misses and provides detailed reports of opportunities to leaders. Provides and assists through data collection efforts as dictated by QC Operations/senior leaders internally and externally to the Distribution Center. Leads daily startup meetings to communicate updates from QC leadership, Supply Chain, suppliers, and performance metrics. Organizes training programs, oversees succession planning, and identifies high-potential associates through feedback and one-on-one meetings. Fosters a culture of integrity, accountability, and continuous improvement within the QC team. Conducts fair and unbiased accountability resolutions and difficult conversations with QC and Supply Chain associates. Audits and tracks associate development, inspections, and operational duties to ensure accuracy and drive process improvements. Manages banana ripening, ordering, and shipping processes. Performs cooler walk functions and participates in Distribution Center tours and educational initiatives. Supports QC initiatives and manages inventory and supply ordering to ensure operational effectiveness. Attends operational and organizational meetings to represent QC interests. Coordinates, completes, and oversees job-related activities and assignments by developing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders; supporting plans and initiatives to meet customer and business needs; identifying and communicating goals and objectives; building accountability for and measuring progress in achieving results; identifying and addressing improvement opportunities; and demonstrating adaptability and promoting continuous learning. Provides supervision and development opportunities for associates by hiring and training; mentoring; assigning duties; providing recognition; and promoting a belonging mindset in the workplace. Ensures compliance with company policies and procedures and supports company mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity by implementing related action plans; utilizing and supporting the Open Door Policy; and providing direction and guidance on applying these in executing business processes and practices.
