Job description

Quality


We are seeking an organized, diligent, and responsible Quality Assurance Inspector to join our International Window team in our Stockton CA facility. In this position, you will be checking products with the conviction that any standard of quality is only as good as the application and continuous adherence to the requirements of the standard by those who claim to comply with its provisions. Products are manufactured in an infinite variety of configurations and combinations. Your primary objective will be to ensure variations from product to product are kept to a minimum and that a high quality and high caliber product leaves the plant every time.

Responsibilities / Skills

· Oversee quality assurance inspections per company guidelines

· Perform critical inspection tasks to ensure high quality product and consistency

· Maintain updated and accurate records

· Review documentation and monitor product to search for discrepancies; troubleshoot quality discrepancies

· Develop and implement improvements to existing procedures in order to maximize efficiency and cut operations costs

· Track accuracy of products as well as defective items to inform quality control decisions

· Prepare, generate, and file reports; review reports monthly with management

· Nurture positive relationships with production line suppliers, coworkers while providing exemplary customer service


Specific Requirements / Scope


· Check any lead or employee that are responsible for checklists to be ensure they are being done and done correctly.

· Ensure all records are maintained in a file for 10 years and on proper forms.

· Present problems that are encountered in the field

· Train department personnel in correcting problems found in the field or found during inspection.

· Check saw logs twice daily. Use Verified by QC

· Check insulated glass department log twice daily. Verified by QC

· Check finished products and logs twice daily.

· Run a 15-minute sill water test and a weep drainage test at least twice daily on different product types; includes aluminum products as well as vinyl products.

· Visually check 10% of the vinyl and aluminum windows for proper sealant in the corners.

· Check incoming raw materials

· Check incoming glass

· Report to the plant manager daily with problems that are found and the time frame of completion of remedy.

· The following tools will be required to complete inspections.

  2. Thermometer
  3. Tape Measures



Qualifications

· High school diploma

· Working knowledge of the tools required to complete inspections.

· Minimum of one year of related experience in warehousing, plant infrastructure or logistics

· Proficient with computers and other standard office technology

· Superior organizational and communication skills
