This position is responsible for ensuring the Company's Quality Control expectations throughout the assigned geographical area are conducted and documented according to established standards in a timely manner. Specific duties include supervising and coordinating the activities of Quality Control Technicians and Inspectors, ensuring reported deficiencies are appropriately documented and communicated to operations, ensuring corrections are complete through thorough follow-up and Quality Control work order sign-off.

What you'll do
  • Manages work schedules for Quality Control Technicians and Inspectors in order to meet business goals and deadlines;
  • Supervises the daily activities of Quality Control Technicians and Inspectors;
  • Understands the assigned work area customer's standards and requirements in regard to work quality and completion and trains Quality Control staff accordingly;
  • Conducts virtual and in-person jobsite inspections where appropriate to ensure consistency and congruence of quality control efforts;
  • Performs the functions of Quality Control Technicians and Inspectors as needed;
  • Assists and coordinates efforts with EHS Department personnel in regard to property and utility damage claims;
  • In conjunction with Management, prepares for and participates in customer or other regulatory entity inquiries, inspections and audits in a professional and respectful manner;
  • In conjunction with Management and the Human Resources Department, prepares and executes employee-related documentation and employee development/engagement efforts;
  • Travel as required;Other duties as assigned.

What you'll need
  • Associates degree in a utility construction-related program and 3-5 years of related work experience with a focus on quality work and contractual adherence, or combination of education and experience required;
  • Working knowledge of communication utility prints, specs and units;
  • Ability to read and understand written and verbal instructions, correspondence and memos including contract language and unit descriptions;
  • Effective and respectful written and verbal communication with all applicable stakeholders, both internal and external, at all levels of the organization;
  • Team oriented, keeping the organizational needs at the forefront;Proficient use of computer hardware and software including but not limited to Internet software and databases. Familiarity with Google-based applications is preferred;
  • Understanding and use of general arithmetic such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, division,
  • units of measure and weight using whole numbers, fractions and decimals;
  • Ability to work flexible hours including overtime and weekends as needed;
  • Maintains current DOT health card;
  • Valid driver's license with favorable driving record required - Class A license preferred.
