Job Description:

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented CEI Senior Inspector to join our team!

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Coordinate and manage the lower level inspectors and verification testing

  • Responsible for daily inspection efforts on multiple complex, large, and /or diverse projects in order to ensure contractor's operations comply with project plans, specifications, and contract documents

  • Monitor on-site construction activities; prepare daily and weekly reports on work accomplished by contractor and reviews periodical pay estimates with contractor for accuracy and track quantities of completed work

  • Prepare sketches and assemble data for Project Administrator to utilize when making changes to the project

  • Perform field inspection of contractors' operations to confirm compliance with contract documents; prepare inspection reports

  • Prepare Daily Reports in Site Manager software as well as any other client required documentation

  • Perform field sampling and testing of component materials and completed work in accordance with the construction contract and client's scope of services (plans, specifications, and special provisions)

  • Inspect traffic control devices and report deficiencies to ensure compliance with standards

  • Maintain detailed accurate records of daily operations and significant events

  • Participate in the development of job safety practices and observe general job safety practices

  • Monitor and inspect the Work Zone Traffic Control (in accordance with the client's requirements)

  • Available to work daytime, nightime, and/or weekend shifts as required

  • Adhere to company marketing requirements by providing timely resume updates and participating in marketing campaigns

  • Ensure timely completion of time sheets and expense reports

  • Take ownership of personal career development by seeking and providing feedback, seizing opportunities to develop new skills, and setting and pursuing personal goals

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

  • High School Diploma and Associate's Degree in a technical discipline/construction related field, or equivalent work experience

  • 10+ years of related experience in construction inspection

  • Have or be able to earn within 6 months, the following qualifications:

  • FDOT Field Concrete Technician

  • FDOT WECS

  • Erosion Control

  • ATSSA Advanced Traffic Control

  • Nuclear Radiation Safety Certificate

  • Passing scores on FDOT's Construction Engineering Inspection Training tests Group 1 (General Provisions, Auxiliary Items, Basic Highway Math, and Basic Highway Plan Reading)

  • Passing scores on FDOT's Construction Engineering Inspection Training tests Group 2 (Pavements, Bases and Subbases, Minor Drainage Structures, Construction Erosion Control)

  • Passing scores on FDOT's Construction Engineering Inspection Training tests Group 3 (Earthwork, Bridges, Incidental Items)

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or Civil Engineering Technology from an ABET accredited university may be substituted for experience

  • EIT License, if applicable.
