JOB SUMMARY:
An Operations Associate ensures that products meet quality standards before installation and manages logistics for on-time installations. This role involves thoroughly inspecting materials and monitoring inventory to maintain smooth processes.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Quality Control:
  • Inspect Products: Verify the quality, color, size, and operational functionality of shades and blinds in the workroom before they move to installation.
  • Measure Accuracy: Confirm measurements and functionality of finished products to ensure they meet specifications and operate as intended.
  • Fabric Inspection: Conduct timely inspections of incoming fabric to ensure it’s free of defects and ready for use.
  • Documentation: Maintain detailed records of quality inspections and highlight any defects or issues for immediate resolution.
Installation Coordination:
  • Product Logistics: Oversee the receiving, shipping, and quality control of products to ensure they are ready and in place for installation.
  • Keeps track of packages and ensures they are in the system.
  • Prepares for installation to ensure all parties are prepared.
Workroom Operations:
  • Product Availability: Confirm that all necessary products are available and ready in the workroom, allowing for smooth production and assembly.
Inventory and Ordering:
  • Inventory Management: Monitor stock levels and restock materials as needed to maintain uninterrupted workflow.
  • Fabric Issue Resolution: Identify fabric issues, promptly notify the Project Manager, and coordinate solutions for replacement or troubleshooting.
  • Fabric Shipping: Manage and execute all fabric shipments, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Order Completion Oversight: Confirm that all work orders are fully complete prior to shipping.
General Operations:
  • Operational Support: Provide phone coverage as needed and assist in any other operational tasks as needed.
