Job Summary
At BioLegend we are dedicated to commercializing high quality reagents to support the research community for legendary discoveries. The Associate for BioLegend's Quality Control group will test products such as antibodies and proteins in the following application(s): flow cytometry, immunohistochemistry, western blotting, ELISA, multiplex immunoassays and/or functional bioassays. The candidate will perform all aspects of the assays following SOPs and ISO requirements. Additional responsibilities include culturing mammalian cell lines, isolating primary cells, and maintaining laboratory equipment and supplies.
Essential Functions

  • Perform testing of reagents in a timely manner
    o Follow Standard Operating Procedure
    o Perform data analysis and document results
    o Work closely with lead and team members to support testing
  • Experience in sterile cell culture technique
  • Perform aseptic cell culture; Isolate primary cells and tissues and main
  • Maintain a safe, organized, and compliant laboratory environment by following all relevant safety regulations and laboratory best practices
  • Perform regular lab cleanliness duties for audit readiness
  • Excellent organization, communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skill
  • Other projects or responsibilities may be required

Minimum Qualifications - Education and Experience
  • High school diploma with > 12 months of laboratory working experience or Bachelor's degree in scientific discipline with laboratory experience
  • Experience with measuring and manipulating small volumes (microliter)
  • Experience with good documentation practices (procedures such as SOPs)

Preferred Qualifications - Education and Experience
  • Experience with one or more of the following applications: flow cytometry, western blotting, immunoprecipitation, bioassays, ELISA or IHC/ICC
  • Familiarity with basic lab equipment and knowledge of lab safety protocols
  • Proven ability to multi-task

Work Environment & Physical Demands - Lab
While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works in a laboratory environment with occasional data entry on a computer. Occasional exposure to a warehouse environment.

The base salary range for this full-time position is $19.00 - $26.50/hour. This range reflects the minimum and maximum target for a new hire in this position. The base pay actually offered to the successful candidate will take into account internal equity, work location, and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.
Please note that base pay is only one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This range allows for the successful candidate to have an opportunity to progress within the position and develop at our company. This base pay range does not take into account bonuses, equity, or other benefits which may be applicable and are dependent on the level and position offered.
