ICP Group is headquartered in Andover, MA and has manufacturing and distribution sites throughout North America, Latin America, UK, Europe and the Asia Pacific region.
ICP Group is seeking a Quality Control Supervisor to lead quality operations at our Norton, OH manufacturing facility. This role is responsible for overseeing batch and finished product quality, supervising QC activities on the plant floor and in the laboratory, and ensuring compliance with company standards, safety requirements, and production goals. The Quality Control Supervisor plays a hands-on leadership role with a strong focus on batch adjustments, operator guidance, and continuous quality improvement.
This position is onsite in Norton, OH; Monday - Thursday 6am - 4:30pm with the potential of overtime during peak production periods.
Responsibilities:
Quality Oversight & Leadership
  • Supervise daily Quality Control operations across the QC laboratory and manufacturing floor.
  • Provide leadership, direction, and technical guidance to QC Technicians and plant operators regarding batch quality and adjustments.
  • Serve as the primary quality liaison between production, operations leadership, and management.
  • Ensure consistent application of standard operating procedures (SOPs) and quality standards.
Batch & Product Quality Management
  • Review, evaluate, and approve incoming batches, in-process materials, and finished products for production use.
  • Analyze inspection results and historical data to determine and authorize batch adjustments.
  • Communicate batch adjustment requirements clearly to manufacturing operators and leadership.
  • Investigate and escalate non-conforming batches, raw materials, or finished goods and recommend corrective actions.
Raw Material & Retain Management
  • Oversee inspection and testing of incoming bulk and non-bulk raw materials.
  • Ensure proper collection, labeling, storage, and documentation of retain samples.
  • Maintain traceability and compliance with internal quality documentation requirements.
Systems, Documentation & Reporting
  • Oversee accurate documentation of batch testing and finished goods testing in the electronic QC database.
  • Ensure accurate creation of batch tickets, posting of raw material consumption, and reporting of finished products.
  • Supervise transactions associated with the Warehouse Management System.
  • Ensure proper label printing using Bartender and Easy Touch systems.
  • Review quality records, reports, and trends; provide insights and recommendations to leadership.
  • Reconcile raw material quantities on completed work orders in ERP system.

Equipment, Safety & Compliance
  • Ensure QC equipment is properly calibrated, maintained and operational, report malfunctions and supply shortages.
  • Promote and enforce safety policies, PPE requirements, and safe work practices.
  • Report and assist in the investigation of safety incidents.
  • Maintain clean, organized work areas and ensure good housekeeping standards.
Continuous Improvement
  • Identify opportunities to improve testing methods, quality processes, and production consistency.
  • Support audits, inspections, and internal quality initiatives as required.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support plant operations and quality objectives.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Experience needed
  • Previous experience in a Quality Control, Laboratory, or Manufacturing Quality role required.
  • Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in a production or manufacturing environment (mixing/blending operations preferred).
  • Prior leadership or supervisory experience strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience testing materials, interpreting results, and maintaining detailed records.
  • Strong mathematical skills for calculating and validating test results.
  • Comfortable working with multiple Units of Measure and quality testing equipment.
  • Proficient in computer systems, including spreadsheets, databases, and reporting tools.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to organize, review, and audit documentation.
  • Demonstrated commitment to safety awareness and compliance.
  • Must be able to stand for extended periods in a manufacturing environment.
  • Must be able to see and interpret color accurately.
  • Must possess full range of motion and manual dexterity to perform testing and inspection tasks.
