Sr. UAT Quality Analyst (Remote)
Our client, a leading healthcare provider with a four State footprint is looking for a remote Sr. UAT Quality Analyst for their Portland, Oregon location.ย Only candidates located in Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Utah will be considered for this role. This resource is responsible for assuring that all Business functional testing activities are completed within a particular Business work stream and delivered with high quality while ensuring no KPI''s are negatively affected. This resource is the senior member of the team who drives UAT for complex projects. Applies extensive knowledge and experience to develop and implement process improvements.

Key Responsibilities for Sr. UAT Quality Analyst:

  • Understand the overall business work stream from a business user''s perspective.
  • Apply industry-standard methods to develop and execute UAT, regression and end to end functional tests.
  • Review of business requirements, system requirements, architecture and design documents, and preliminary test planning.
  • Collaborate with peers to ensure adequate test coverage and efficient UAT execution.
  • Report test results, submit defects and verify defect fixes.
  • Effectively use required testing tools including proficiency with Jira.
  • Define and prepare test data, compiles final testing documentation.
  • Provide support for production of Go-live/post implementation activities.
  • Collaborate with peers to ensure adequate test coverage and efficient UAT execution across multiple Business areas.
  • Responsible for the appropriateness, quality, and timeliness of all aspects of the project, manages the production of project estimates, develops project plan and schedule, establishes measures and milestones, tracks ongoing progress, while proactively managing risks, issues, scope and human resources through the project life-cycle specific to UAT activities.
  • Plan and lead business test activities, acting as project manager for business-related quality activities, deliverables, issues, status reporting, and resources for the project.
  • Ensure quality of UAT deliverables across full project lifecycle.
  • Use metrics to understand process effectiveness, quality and UAT progress. Initiate process, practice and tool improvements.
  • Collaborate with development partners to identify quality goals, constraints and risks. Create appropriate plans, contingencies and mitigation.
  • Lead UAT defect triage, including prioritization of testing based on Business impacts.
  • Create quality UAT testing strategies, estimate resources, schedules and manage execution of planned UAT activities.
  • Monitor UAT progress; eliminate obstacles, report progress and recommendations to project and senior management.

Requirements/Qualifications for Sr. UAT Quality Analyst:

  • Bachelor''s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
  • 8+ years of health insurance or general health industry.
  • 7+ years of experience in defining and analyzing business requirements, process modeling, and acceptance testing.
  • 2+ years of experience leading and delivering quality UAT in support of multiple complex corporate projects and leading continuous improvement initiatives for UAT.
  • Knowledge of healthcare insurance domain and Facets experience required.
  • Extensive experience effectively writing and running queries to support UAT activities.
  • Ability to elaborate business requirements into effective test cases for total functional coverage.
  • Ability to define and execute test cases and write test scripts from business requirements documentation confirming that systems meet business objectives.
  • Ability to work within a team and independently while remaining agile and adaptable to constant change.
  • Ability to verify defects identified via testing are effectively recorded, communicated and understood.
  • Demonstrated ability to select and apply appropriate industry-standard processes and practices to prevent and detect defects throughout the software development lifecycle.
  • Demonstrated ability to understand processes related to effective quality UAT.
  • Vast knowledge of testing techniques to cover all possible testing validation.
  • Experience using programming languages, software tools, and/or a variety of desktop applications.
  • Knowledge of software development and project methodologies including Agile.
  • Able to prioritize test cases on a risk- based testing approach.
  • Ability to perform analysis of production defect leakage metric and use data collected as a tool for improved future functional testing.
  • Proven ability to validate test data preparation and verify all teams are aligned with what needs to occur to build/prepare the business functional tests, regression, and end to end testing.
  • Ability to create quality UAT testing strategies and manage UAT project activities across multiple Agile teams or functional Business areas.
  • Competency in effectively applying formal company-approved project management methodology to accomplish the goals of the project.
  • Demonstrated strong cross-functional communication, problem-solving and collaboration skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and guide team members.
  • Ability to summarize UAT status, develop execution metrics and escalate issues as necessary to Management.
  • Ability to understand operational measures affecting functional business areas and measure through testing against defined KPIs.
  • Demonstrated experience in delivering high-quality products, leading high-productivity teams, and developing and deploying business-appropriate processes, practices and tools.
  • Demonstrated ability in performing complex workflow analysis and recommends quality improvements.
  • Ability to create quality UAT testing strategies and manage complex UAT project activities with multiple Agile teams or functional Business areas across multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to communicate and present overall project UAT status, issues, and risks to all levels of management.
  • Experience with AI tools and technologies to enhance productivity and decision-making in professional settings highly desired.
