Project Control Analyst Location: Herndon, VA (Hybrid) Clearance: None Travel: 25% CONUS About the Opportunity Stillwater Human Capital is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Project Control Analyst to support a federal customer by providing performance reporting, data analysis, and program controls for a nationwide recruiting and outreach program. The Project Control Analyst plays a critical role in measuring program performance by collecting, validating, analyzing, and reporting operational and financial data across more than 100 recruiting events annually. This position supports program leadership by transforming data into meaningful insights that drive operational decisions, improve program execution, and support continuous process improvement. Working closely with Program Management, Event Planning, Logistics, Operations, and customer stakeholders, the Project Control Analyst develops dashboards, performance reports, trend analyses, financial summaries, and executive-level reporting that provides visibility into program health and overall performance. The ideal candidate possesses strong analytical skills, exceptional attention to detail, and experience developing reports and dashboards that support operational decision-making. --- Key Responsibilities Program Performance Reporting • Collect, validate, and consolidate operational data from recruiting events nationwide. • Develop and maintain standardized reporting processes to ensure consistent and accurate program metrics. • Produce recurring program reports, dashboards, and executive summaries supporting operational and strategic decision-making. • Prepare Monthly Performance Reports, Quarterly Trend Reports, Annual Program Reports, and Event Outcome Summaries. • Develop visual dashboards and reporting tools that communicate program performance to leadership and customer stakeholders. --- Data Analysis & Metrics Management • Analyze event-level and program-level performance metrics to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement. • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), including: o Events supported o Event attendance o Candidate engagements o Resume collections o QR code scans o Information package distribution o Staffing utilization o Shipping performance o Cost metrics o Event readiness measures • Identify data anomalies, performance variances, and emerging trends requiring leadership attention. • Recommend improvements based on quantitative and qualitative analysis. --- Project Controls & Financial Reporting • Support program controls through performance tracking and operational reporting. • Prepare financial summaries, budget tracking reports, and cost analyses. • Monitor program expenditures against operational plans. • Assist leadership with forecasting, resource planning, and budget reporting. • Track performance against contractual deliverables and operational milestones. • Support development of performance recommendations based on data analysis. --- Data Collection & Quality Assurance • Establish and maintain standardized data collection methodologies across the program. • Validate data received from multiple teams and identify inconsistencies requiring correction. • Ensure reporting accuracy, completeness, and compliance with customer reporting requirements. • Maintain secure handling of customer information in accordance with applicable security and privacy requirements. • Support continuous improvement initiatives through ongoing measurement and reporting. --- Stakeholder Support • Collaborate with Program Management, Event Planning, Logistics, Operations, Finance, and customer stakeholders to gather reporting requirements. • Present findings through reports, dashboards, presentations, and briefing materials. • Respond to ad hoc reporting requests and data analysis needs. • Support After-Action Reviews by documenting lessons learned, performance outcomes, and recommendations for future improvements. --- Required Qualifications • Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Finance, Data Analytics, Project Management, Information Systems, Statistics, or a related discipline; Salary Range: $75,000 - $90,000 The above salary range represents a general guideline. Stillwater considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers, such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidates experience, education, skills, and current market conditions.
