Job Title: Quality Engineer
Location: Seymour, IN (Relocation Assistance Available)
Salary Range: $65K - 85K.

Job SummaryThis role is responsible for ensuring product quality, improving processes, and supporting manufacturing operations through data-driven analysis and preventative quality techniques. The Quality Engineer will interpret product drawings, lead corrective actions, develop quality documentation, and support both new product launches and daily production activities. Ideal candidates thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and bring strong technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Required Skills & Qualifications● High school diploma or equivalent with 5+ years of relevant quality experience
● Ability to interpret product drawings, GD&T, and technical standards
● Strong problem-solving skills using structured corrective action disciplines
● Proficiency in SQL and data analytics; ability to integrate IoT initiatives
● Strong understanding of APQP, FMEA, Control Plans, Check Sheets, Capability Studies, and SPC charts
● Ability to interpret CMM reports; experience using gauges and measurement tools
● Ability to make formal presentations and communicate effectively with all levels of the organization
● Proficient with Microsoft Office
● Ability to lead and work within cross-functional teams
Preferred Skills & Qualifications● Bachelor’s or Associate degree in Engineering
● Six Sigma experience
● CMM operation and/or programming experience
● Experience interfacing with OEMs through customer/supplier portals
● Strongly preferred: working knowledge of the Toyota Supplier Portal and Systems
Day-to-Day Responsibilities● Develop and implement quality controls and inspection methods based on product drawings and standards
● Support and monitor product quality conditions on the manufacturing floor
● Apply preventative quality techniques to reduce scrap, defects, and inline issues
● Develop, review, and maintain FMEAs, Control Plans, and Quality Check Sheets
● Lead corrective action activities, collaborating with cross-functional teams
● Generate quantitative quality reports and communicate findings to leadership
● Lead inspection activities and support inspectors/technicians
● Verify products using gauges, measurement tools, and CMM (preferred)
● Analyze data to support Kaizen activities, improve first-pass yield, reduce PPM, and increase productivity
● Create APQP documentation and support new product launch processes
● Perform other duties as needed to support department and company objectives
Physical and Environment Requirements- Physical expectations may include: standing, walking, and sitting for extended periods; using hands for inspection tools or measuring equipment; communicating clearly with team members; and working in a manufacturing environment that may include noise, machinery, and fluctuating temperatures.
