Job description


ABM is seeking an experienced Electrical QA/QC Manager to lead quality assurance and quality control activities within a semiconductor manufacturing and high-tech construction environment.
This position is responsible for implementing, executing, and continuously improving the site Electrical QA/QC Program. The QA/QC Manager provides technical leadership and oversight to QA/QC personnel while partnering with project management, construction supervision, engineering, safety, commissioning, and Client representatives to ensure electrical installations meet all applicable requirements.
The successful candidate will possess extensive electrical construction knowledge, strong leadership and analytical skills, and experience managing quality within complex industrial or high-tech environments.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and administer the site Electrical QA/QC Program, including inspection, testing, documentation, nonconformance, corrective action, and turnover activities.
  • Provide leadership, supervision, technical guidance, and development to QA/QC personnel while coordinating with project management, construction, engineering, commissioning, and Client representatives.
  • Ensure electrical installations comply with NFPA 70 (NEC), applicable NFPA 70E requirements, approved drawings and specifications, manufacturer/OEM requirements, Client standards, and applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and manage Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), inspection processes, checklists, acceptance criteria, and hold/witness points based on project requirements, risk, and construction schedules.
  • Oversee electrical inspections and testing, including raceways and supports, conductors and cables, grounding and bonding, terminations, torque verification, insulation resistance, continuity, and other project-specific requirements.
  • Identify and manage deficiencies and nonconforming work, including NCRs, Root Cause Analysis (RCA), corrective/preventive actions, and verification of resolution.
  • Monitor quality performance, trends, recurring deficiencies, and rework to drive continuous improvement and a proactive first-time-quality culture.
  • Maintain accurate, traceable, and auditable QA/QC records while supporting quality audits, commissioning, and final project turnover.
  • Ensure QA/QC activities comply with applicable safety, PPE, cleanroom, contamination-control, and semiconductor facility requirements.

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 5+ years of progressive electrical construction experience, preferably at the Journeyman Electrician level or higher.
  • Advanced knowledge of electrical construction practices, NFPA 70 (NEC), electrical inspection/testing methods, and quality-control principles.
  • Working knowledge of NFPA 70E requirements applicable to electrical construction, inspection, and testing activities.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, one-lines, specifications, manufacturer/OEM documentation, submittals, and Client standards.
  • Strong understanding of electrical test and measurement equipment, including multimeters, insulation resistance testers/megohmmeters, micro-ohmmeters, torque equipment, calipers, and related instruments.
  • Demonstrated leadership, analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and decision-making capabilities.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with craft personnel, supervision, management, engineering, and Client representatives.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accurate quality documentation.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.

Preferred Experience:
  • 10+ years of progressive electrical construction experience, preferably at the Journeyman Electrician level or higher.
  • 5+ years of electrical QA/QC, inspection, commissioning, supervision, or technical leadership experience.
  • Previous experience leading QA/QC personnel or managing an electrical quality program.
  • Experience within Semiconductor, Cleanroom, and other High-tech environments strongly preferred.
  • Experience with ITPs, NCRs, Root Cause Analysis, corrective/preventive actions, audits, and turnover documentation.
  • Familiarity with ISO 9001 or similar Quality Management Systems (QMS).
