POSITION SUMMARY

We are looking for a Quality Technician to join our team. In this role, you will ensure the quality of specific parts in accordance with established company and customer standards, providing clear verbal and written test results to management and production staff. You will read and interpret drawings, perform inspections with a variety of instruments, review supplier certifications, maintain accurate records, and coordinate tasks efficiently while proactively identifying opportunities for improvement. At Domaille Engineering, you’ll join a skilled, precision-focused team delivering high-quality solutions in aerospace, defense, and fiber optics, where every measurement and inspection drives excellence.


ITAR REQUIREMENTS

This position is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), which restricts access to export-controlled information to U.S. persons. A U.S. person is generally defined as a U.S. citizen, U.S. national, lawful permanent resident, or others specifically authorized under U.S. export regulations. General work authorization (e.g., work permit or EAD) or visa sponsorship does not meet ITAR requirements.


ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Read and interpret drawings and specifications, then select and apply appropriate inspection equipment and techniques.
  • Use a variety of inspection instruments (calipers, micrometers, CMMs, etc.) and calculations to verify conformity to blueprints.
  • Perform visual inspections under magnification.
  • Review certifications from suppliers and vendors for compliance with specifications.
  • Evaluate quality of work and ensure acceptability, consistently meeting time and quality standards.
  • Maintain accurate records of inspection results using company databases.
  • Coordinate work to ensure tasks are completed accurately, efficiently, and in order of priority.
  • Proactively seek additional duties and suggest solutions to potential issues.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Equivalent work experience considered; completion of a related two-year vocational program with two years of relevant experience is preferred.
  • Ability to read and accurately interpret drawings and specifications.
  • Proficient with manual inspection equipment (calipers, micrometers, etc).
  • Experience operating and/or programming CMMs using PC-DMIS is a plus.
  • Familiarity with GD&T concepts; aerospace or defense industry experience is preferred.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • This position is on the production floor and involves regular exposure to active manufacturing areas.
  • Appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), including safety glasses, hearing protection, and composite or steel-toe shoes, must be worn as required.
  • The work environment features standard plant lighting, operating machinery, and typical ambient conditions associated with a manufacturing facility.
