Job description

Impact Electronic Solutions - Grants Pass Location (ESAM) - Position Description

Summary of Position:

The Quality Engineer is responsible to ensure conformance to the ESAM Quality Management System and the support of ESAM processes. Other responsibilities include the monitoring, testing, and quality of products. This position shall also provide training, leadership, and technical support to all levels of employees.

Responsibilities:

  1. Interface with customers and suppliers.
  2. Provide technical support to others related to the Quality, Manufacturing, and Engineering functions.
  3. Understand and implement Quality Procedures & Processes, Quality Assurance Manual, Customer Requirements, and Quality Standards (i.e. AS9100).
  4. Perform internal audits.
  5. Perform audits of product and paperwork (i.e. shipping audits).
  6. Perform and Document AS9102 First Article Inspection Reports.
  7. Perform Document Control Functions.
  8. Create and Update Process Procedures and Forms
  9. Support and Perform Quality Inspections and Testing, including Receiving Inspection.
  10. Perform Investigations, Root Cause Analysis, and Corrective and Preventive Action.
  11. Must be able to read and interpret blue prints, engineering specifications, and related documents.
  12. Knowledge of MRB process.
  13. Able to distinguish colors.
  14. Perform special assignments and other duties as required.

 Duties:

  1. Ensure Department area is FOD free.
  2. Understand, embrace, and ensure compliance to ESAM's safety policies and procedures.
  3. Creates Department efficiencies and brings ideas to senior management.
  4. Stay within budget guidelines.
