Job Title:    QC Technician (Packaging)    Date:    XX/XX/2025

Job Description: The Quality Control (QC) Technician is expected to monitor and document the production process within the Packaging department. He/she must follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) to complete all assigned tasks. The QC Technician must be able to meet a high standard of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP). This position requires mutual respect, active communication and collaborative teamwork.

Department Specific Responsibilities

•    Inspect and grade products using  RO-TAP® for particle sizing

•    Check accuracy of weighing scale and product labels

•    Perform metal detector verification and log observations

•    Record weight and label totes

•    Record use of cardboard cases and liners

•    Obtain product samples for sampling and retention purposes

•    Record observations on forms

•    Inspect rare earth magnets and record observations

General QC Technician Responsibilities

•    Conduct daily inspection and record observations on cGMP Packaging Checklist

•    Perform pre-operational sanitation verification using ATP swabs and ATP reader

•    Submit work orders for food safety related maintenance issue

•    Detect, retain and document foreign materials from packaging lines

•    Initiate Hold for non-conforming items

•    Assist in the Environmental Monitoring Program (EMP) by swabbing areas in Packaging

•    Assist in the training of new team members

•    Report any issues or unusual observations to the QC Lead

•    Maintain good housekeeping practices

•    Perform other quality-related duties as assigned by QC Lead or Quality management
