Job description

New Tech Global Staffing is currently seeking a QC Inspector for a client located in Northwest Houston, TX to join their team. This is a long-term contract to hire opportunity.

Pay: $22-$27/hour (depending on experience)

Schedule: Monday through Friday, 40 hours/week


Summary:
Responsible for performing inspections and testing at receiving, in-process, and final stages for all production parts. Ensures product quality, compliance with specifications, and proper documentation while maintaining safety and quality standards.


Responsibilities

Perform dimensional and visual inspections

Conduct hardness testing
Perform Level II NDE certification and related hands-on experience

Document inspection results and maintain accurate records

Verify accuracy of heat codes and Mill Test Reports (MTR)

Ensure traceability prior to product release

Assign heat codes to raw materials and welding consumables and update in system

Perform receiving inspections on purchased parts and vendor materials

Assign heat codes on job routers

Verify dimensions, fit-up, and weld preparations per specifications and drawings

Ensure inspection priorities are followed

Perform calibration and assist with calibration processes when required

Verify traceability and documentation for internally received materials

File NCRs (Non-Conformance Reports) and support corrective actions per engineering direction

Maintain compliance with all quality and safety standards

Follow QMS procedures and quality policies

Maintain professional relationships with production staff, technicians, and leadership

Assist supervisors, engineers, and managers with quality-related tasks

Other duties may be assigned


Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED required (or equivalent experience)

5-7 years of related QC inspection experience

Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, symbols, and tolerances

Familiarity with GD&T required

Experience filing NCRs

Visual acuity that meets ASNT SNT-TC-1A requirements

Color contrast vision required

Basic computer skills (MS Office)

Strong communication skills

Ability to work independently and within a team

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

Forklift certification preferred
