Position Overview

This is a senior leadership opportunity to elevate design quality and technical excellence across a nationally recognized architecture practice. As the Senior QA/QC Manager, you will lead firmwide quality assurance initiativesโ€”ensuring that every project meets the highest standards of constructability, coordination, and code compliance. Your expertise will directly influence project outcomes, mitigate risk, and reinforce a culture of precision and accountability.

Core Responsibilities

  • Lead and continuously refine firmwide QA/QC processes across all project phases (SD, DD, CD, CA)
  • Perform high-level drawing and specification reviews with a focus on constructability, coordination, and technical accuracy
  • Ensure compliance with building codes, life safety requirements, accessibility standards (ADA), and industry best practices
  • Identify and mitigate design risks, errors, and omissions prior to construction
  • Collaborate with project managers and firm leadership to maintain consistency across all deliverables
  • Develop and implement QA/QC standards, checklists, and review protocols
  • Mentor architects and project teams in documentation excellence, detailing, and coordination
  • Lead post-project evaluations to improve workflows, standards, and overall project performance
  • Serve as a technical authority on complex architectural challenges and interdisciplinary coordination

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelorโ€™s or Masterโ€™s degree in Architecture
  • 25+ years of progressive experience in architectural practice
  • Licensed Architect (RA) required
  • Proven experience in QA/QC leadership or technical oversight roles
  • Deep knowledge of IBC, local Georgia/Atlanta codes, and ADA accessibility standards
  • Expertise in life safety systems, constructability, and interdisciplinary coordination
  • Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving capabilities
  • Strong leadership, mentoring, and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in Senior Living and/or Healthcare project sectors
  • Background working on large, complex, multi-disciplinary projects
  • Experience developing firmwide QA/QC standards or training programs
