Job Summary: The QA/QC Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and managing the project quality program for mission-critical data center projects. This role ensures compliance with project specifications, industry standards, and owner expectations by enforcing quality procedures and driving accountability across all trades and phases of construction. The QA/QC Manager plays a key role in the coordination, inspection, documentation, and turnover of high-performance MEP and CSA systems.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
The QA/QC Manager will be primarily involved with performing the following duties and responsibilities.

  • Use discretion and independent judgment and professional skills to perform daily duties and to resolve project operations issues.
  • Ensure the quality completion of projects on time and within the allocated budget.
  • Develop and maintain the project-specific QA/QC plan in alignment with contract documents and
    owner standards.
  • Oversee implementation of quality procedures across all trades including mechanical, electrical,
    plumbing, architectural, and civil scopes.
  • Perform field inspections to verify installation quality, system conformity, and workmanship standards.
  • Review submittals and shop drawings for compliance with project specifications and coordinate with design teams as needed.
  • Coordinate third-party inspections and testing (e.g., concrete, welding, fireproofing, NETA testing,
    etc.).
  • Track and manage non-conformance reports (NCRs), deficiency logs, and punchlists from rough-in
    through final turnover.
  • Support pre-functional checklists and equipment readiness inspections for commissioning activities.
  • Maintain up-to-date documentation of inspections, testing records, redlines, and as-built conditions.
  • Lead quality-focused meetings with subcontractors and facilitate quality training for field personnel.
  • Ensure all QA/QC deliverables are included in the final turnover package to the client.
  • Support mock-up reviews and first-of-kind inspections to validate installation expectations early in the process.
  • Coordinate with commissioning and construction teams to ensure quality control support overall
    schedule and system readiness.


Education, Experience, and Certifications:

  • Bachelors degree in construction management, Engineering, or related field.
  • Certification in quality management (e.g., CQM-C, ASQ, ICC, ACI).
  • 7+ years of experience in QA/QC or field construction inspection, preferably in mission-critical or
    MEP-intensive environments.
  • Strong understanding of construction drawings, specifications, codes, and QA/QC practices.
  • Familiarity with inspection techniques and quality standards such as IBC, ASTM, ASHRAE, NFPA, and ISO 9001.
  • Proficiency in documentation software such as Procore, Bluebeam, BIM 360, and Microsoft Office.
