Quality Control Inspector
Monday - Thursday
3:30 PM - 2:00 AM
POSITION OVERVIEW
Inspection of manufactured products and raw materials to ensure compliance with engineering / customer specifications.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Examines factory orders /blueprints... Inspects product to determine compliance with order specifications. Stamps approval or rejection marks and reports rejections. Verifies layouts, materials, weld quality, paint quality, dimensions, appearance, identification markings, and records defects/rejections. Other duties may be assigned.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIESL
This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or GED; or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination.
QUALIFICATIONS
Must be able to perform essential duties satisfactorily.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret documents and write routine reports and correspondence.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to calculate percentages, area, circumference, volume and apply basic algebra.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
None required.
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS
Occasional travel requested (less than 10%).
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Attendance is an essential job requirement defined as having regular, consistent, reliable, punctual and predictable attendance including the ability to work regular hours and shifts, overtime before and after shifts and on weekends as required by union contract. Ability to work as part of a team, including all related departments/plants or independently as required to achieve internal and external customer satisfaction.
