Job description

Introduction:

We are seeking hands-on Senior QA Lead / Testers with deep retail POS experience. This role is part of a high-performing, cross-functional QA organization working in an onshore/offshore model and reporting to a QA Manager. The Senior QA Lead Tester actively designs, executes, and validates POS testing while collaborating closely with test leadership, application teams, and business partners.

Responsibilities:
  • Act as a hands-on senior tester/lead, actively participating in POS test preparation and execution activities.
  • Participate in functional and technical design reviews to ensure a strong understanding of retail business processes, POS functionality, integrations, and architecture.
  • Create, review, and maintain detailed POS test scenarios and test cases aligned with functional and business requirements.
  • Ensure appropriate and accurate test data is defined, validated, and available in test environments.
  • Execute and status POS test cases with clear proof of testing and traceability.
  • Perform end-to-end validation of POS workflows including sales, returns, exchanges, refunds, promotions, discounts, taxes, and tender processing.
  • Clearly document defects with complete details, evidence, and business impact; retest fixes promptly using approved test management tools.
  • Communicate execution status, risks, and issues effectively to the project team.
  • Collaborate closely with application teams to support defect investigation, fixes, and retesting.
  • Assist in driving issues and defects to closure through strong ownership and follow-through.
  • Deliver high-quality testing outcomes while meeting timelines and priorities defined by test leadership.
  • Work effectively in a collaborative, cross-functional, and onshore/offshore project environment.
Requirements:
  • 10+ years of hands-on experience testing retail POS systems (required)
  • Retail domain experience with a strong understanding of POS transactions and workflows
  • Strong experience leading execution as a senior tester or hands-on tester lead
  • Ability to validate data using SQL queries
  • Experience with Agile and Waterfall methodologies
  • Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Commitment to delivering high-quality, production-ready solutions

- Part of the overall TCoE team supporting the Order Management project. Do not know if more projects will be in the pipeline.
