Position Summary:


The Quality Inspector is responsible for ensuring that all products and processes meet VDL Industries Gainesville quality standards, customer specifications, and regulatory requirements. This role performs inspections, conducts testing, documents findings, and collaborates with cross-functional teams to identify, resolve, and prevent quality issues.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications.
  • Understand product requirements, tolerances, and acceptance criteria.
  • Ensure inspection processes align with customer and internal quality standards.
  • Inspect incoming materials to ensure compliance with quality standards.
  • Approve or reject materials based on established criteria.
  • Maintain supplier quality records and report non-conformances.
  • Support supplier performance tracking and corrective actions.
  • Perform first article, in-process, and final inspections.
  • Select and inspect samples from production batches.
  • Measure dimensions, verify tolerances, and test functionality.
  • Conduct visual inspections for defects and inconsistencies.
  • Utilize manual and automated inspection equipment as required.
  • Monitor production processes to ensure compliance with quality and safety standards.
  • Perform inspections at critical control points throughout production.
