Job description

Steves and Sons is seeking a qualified individual to fill the role of Quality assurance Technician. The Quality Assurance Technician will look for defects and damages on doors and door parts to ensure a high quality product is produced.
DUTIES:
  • Troubleshoot any areas of the assembly process where Quality issues occur
  • Inspect, test, and measure materials/product for conformance to specifications.
  • Analyze and interpret prints, manuals, data, and other materials to determine specifications.
  • Record and analyze data, maintain proper paperwork/documentation.
  • Document and communicate non-conforming material rejections to department Supervisors and Purchasing/Materials.
  • Mentor Production Associates/Quality Auditors on Quality standards.
  • Assist in assigning tasks to Quality Auditors.
  • Conduct part inspections on first article, incoming and other parts as requested.
  • Observe and monitor production operations, jigs and equipment to ensure conformance to specifications.
Education, Training and Experience:
  • Reject defective parts, and marks type of defect on part, container of parts, or inspection tag
  • Prepare Shipping Documents
  • Read drawings to verify parts are prepared correct
  • Compare product with parts list or sample model to ensure completion of assembly. Ability to read and understanding product blueprints
  • Must be able to read and speak English all orders and parts are processed in English
