Title: QA Lead

Location: Milwaukee, WI

Duration: Long Term


Required Skills:

  • HP ALM strong understanding of configuration, capabilities, and reporting with ALM.
  • Someone that really has QA experience at a program or release level. Been through SAP implementations as a QA Lead.
  • BS/BA in Computer Science, Information Systems Management, Computer Engineering, or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience. 3-5 years of experience in quality assurance/control, with a thorough knowledge of software development life cycle principles and quality assurance methodology.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in working with developers, project and release managers, system administrators, and database administrators.
  • Significant background in application design and programming, with a full comprehension of SDLC and the ability to understand trace matrices. Strong analytical skills and broad knowledge of the applications supported. Significant direct experience and knowledge of quality assurance for various applications, web platforms, reporting, and analytics.
  • Advanced knowledge of quality assurance methodology experience such as Continuous Integration and Test Driven Development. Proven experience and understanding of all phases of the development
    Responsibilities:
    Test Lead: Define, Organize and Execute Overall Test Strategy for String Test, Integration Test and UAT ? Collaborate with Process Teams to ensure participation in testing phases (ST, ITCs and UAT) ? Monitor and report progress of test execution status reporting that each script is tested, validated
  • Highlight issues which may pose risk to the project plan or the solution quality
  • Manage the test team
  • Work with the deployment, conversion and technology leads to plan the conversion tests and environments preparation
  • Allocate test resources in a multi-test environment
  • Ensure that all test results are easily accessible
  • Review test and validation results to ensure that they meet the entry and acceptance criteria
  • Measure and report test status/metrics to leadership
  • Define and document the standard operating procedures for testing
  • Ensure that all prerequisites are in place for test execution including environment, resources, training (relevant for testing), test plan, test schedule and test tools
  • Ensures integration of the test execution plan with the project plan for each team
  • Work with the process and development teams to plan the test scenarios, conditions and scripts
