POSITION OVERVIEW
The Quality Technician will complete measurements, and inspection of products in process and at final stages. This role provides support of the certified QMS as needed. The Quality Assurance Technician helps to assure consistent quality of production by validating processes and providing documentation.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
  • Assist with corrective actions, data gathering, documentation, and internal audits as required.
  • Maintain assembly and inspection records, receiving inspection documentation, and other documentation as required using methods to ensure easy access.
  • Operate the CMM to measure parts.
  • Perform inspection using manual and automated equipment such as micrometers, calipers, indicators, vision systems, CMM, and others as needed.
  • Follow product release procedures as required, ensuring conforming product and documentation prior to shipment.
  • Provide production support as needed.
  • Assist with external or customer audits.
  • Ensure production is meeting all customer, regulatory, and internal requirements.
  • Other duties as required or delegated by your manager or supervisor.

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS & PREFERRED EXPERIENCE
  • 2-year technical diploma or equivalent in experience.
  • Computer experience and working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Demonstrated ability to read and interpret part drawings documentation, engineering specifications and GD&T.
  • Must be able to use various types of inspection equipment.
  • Previous experience as line inspector preferred.
  • Must have effective verbal and written communication skills, a positive attitude and be able to work well in a team environment.
