Scope of Position:

In this role, you will be reporting directly to a Quality Supervisor. This position focuses on quality disposition of Advanced Optics parts and materials, product and material documentation review and release and liaison between the Plant and key stakeholders.  We look for you to work closely with other functions within the organization (Engineering, Operations, and Procurement) and be responsible for driving an improved Customer experience with our products.

Day to Day Responsibilities:   

  • Ensures adequacy of product Quality and compliance to requirements. 
  • Dispositions of production events related to part and material non-conformances.
  • Monitors metrics consistent with job responsibilities.
  • Support Plant Safety programs to provide a safe working environment.
  • Achieve applicable department requirements for safety, quality and cost.  
  • Drive simplification and continuous improvement. 

Required Qualifications and Education:

  • High school diploma or associate's degree in engineering, Science, or related technical field.
  • 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing/production environment
  • Flexibility to multitask and prioritize work on an independent basis in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to learn new technology and processes quickly.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office.

Travel Requirements:

  • Minimal travel expected (5% or less)

Hours of Work:

  • Typically, 7/8 AM - 4/5 PM, Monday - Friday. Occasional off-hours and weekend support is possible, but isolated.

Desired Skills:

  • Previous Quality Control experience in manufacturing or technical functions.
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001.
  • Experience with procedure and work instruction interpretation.
  • Flexibility to work within a dynamic team and provide training to others.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to work effectively on all levels of an organization

The range for this position is $58,236.00 - $80,075.00 assuming full time status. Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.
