Job Summary:
The 2nd Shift Warehouse Manager (2:30pm - 11:00pm M - F, occasional Saturdays) is responsible for one of BOX Partners' warehouses and leads people and processes to safely deliver products to BOX Partners' customers with speed and quality. This leadership role is challenging and appeals to people who have a keen sense of ownership and enjoy the work that goes into running a smooth warehouse operation.
A BOX Partners warehouse is a complex operation that requires a leader who has experience in a safety and quality-focused, high-volume warehouse environment along with strong people leadership skills. These skills are imperative in leading all aspects of the operation, from receiving, picking, and shipping, to facilities maintenance and safety oversight. A strong engineering or operations mindset is required to address this complexity, including but not limited to labor planning, receiving, space management, picking/packing, equipment maintenance and reliability, shipping, yard management, transportation and logistics, safety, quality, Associate engagement, and productivity. A successful Manager will be able to provide a strong vision and direction for the team while fostering participation in the process of improvement from all levels of the organization.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
  • Recruits, interviews, hires, and trains new supervisors and support staff
  • Oversees the daily planning and execution of work for the entire building
  • Provide constructive and timely performance evaluations.
  • Handles discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company policy.
  • Performs related duties as assigned.

Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Own and deliver an operational budget of $10 million+ with guidance from the Director of Warehouse Operations
  • Set clear goals for safety, customer experience, and productivity, and successfully deliver on them.
  • Build the culture of the warehouse through associate engagement and leader development.
  • Engage all levels of the organization to remove waste from operations processes employing Lean, Kaizen, and other continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Uphold the BOX Partner's mission, vision, and values in the building and in the community.
  • Work flexible hours as the business demands, including overnight, weekends, and holidays.
  • This position annual salary starts at $80,000, based on relevant work experience with a bonus opportunity dependent upon company operational and financial outcomes.

Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Ability to lift 15 pounds or more at times.
Prolonged periods of standing/walking the warehouse floor to observe/manage business activity
