POSITION PURPOSE
As a Quality Technician at Bayport Laboratories, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and safety of our cosmetic products. You will be responsible for conducting inspections, tests, and quality control procedures to maintain high-quality standards and compliance with regulatory requirements. This position requires attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and a commitment to upholding our customer brand's reputation for excellence.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES
  • Quality Inspections: Conduct visual inspections and detailed examinations of cosmetic products at various stages of production to ensure they meet established quality standards.
  • Testing: Perform product testing and analysis, including but not limited to pH testing, viscosity measurement, texture analysis, and microbiological testing.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of quality control activities, test results, and inspection reports. Document any deviations and take corrective actions as necessary.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that all cosmetic products meet regulatory requirements, including FDA guidelines and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
  • Non-Conformance Management: Identify and document non-conforming products or processes. Collaborate with the production team to implement corrective and preventive actions.
  • Sampling: Collect product samples for testing and analysis. Ensure proper sample handling and storage.
  • Calibration: Calibrate and maintain testing equipment to ensure accuracy and reliability.
  • Communication: Collaborate with production, R&D, and quality control teams to resolve quality-related issues and implement process improvements.
  • Training: Assist in the training of production staff on quality control procedures and quality standards.
QUALIFICATIONS

· High school diploma or equivalent. Bachelor's degree in a related field is a plus.
· Proven experience as a Quality Technician or in a similar quality control role, preferably in the cosmetic industry.
· Knowledge of cosmetic production processes and quality control procedures.
· Familiarity with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
· Strong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation and testing.
· Analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and address quality issues.
· Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
· Proficiency in using quality control equipment and software.
· Flexibility to work on a rotating shift schedule and respond to quality control needs outside regular hours.

Education/Certification:
