The Modern Depot Electronics Manufacturing Sustainment and Repair Center within Northrop Grumman Defense Systems pushes the boundaries of innovation, redefines engineering capabilities, and drives advances in electronic assembly production and repair. Our Modern Depot team specializes in designing new electronic/electrical assemblies and repairing existing technology, developing solutions for diminishing material, and CCA repairs. The Modern Depot Electronics Manufacturing Sustainment and Repair Center is part of the Integrated Mission Solutions (IMS) Business Unit that designs, manufactures, operates, and maintains airborne platforms, sensors and electronic warfare systems for US military services and our international allies.
The Northrop Grumman IMS Modern Depot is seeking a Quality Analyst 2 to join our team. You will work as part of a high performing and inclusive Mission Assurance and Quality support team to ensure program and product workmanship, and compliance to internal and external industry standards. The location for this position is Warner Robins, GA. This position will be on 1st shift.
Primary Responsibilities:
  • Provide Quality support and assistance to electronics manufacturing and repair teams to include Technicians, Engineers, and Inspectors
  • Populate and maintain Corrective Action databases (HQMS) to track nonconformance data and trends
  • Support Quality Assurance inspection activities when required, to include performing or assisting with First Article Inspections (FAI)
  • Performing documentation inspections of deliverable assets and internal work instructions
  • Coordinate nonconformance containment and corrective action implementation activities
  • Perform data collection, analysis, and compile for stakeholder review.
  • Contribute to design change control reviews and implementation
  • Support internal audits, process observations, and area assessments
  • Maintain collaborative partnerships across functions, programs, customers, program management, and other support organizations
  • Develop and implement program quality inspection plans
  • Work with the Engineering team to ensure that requirements are correctly described and documented in the production workplans and instructions
  • Participate with corrective action or improvement teams and promote the use of data to assist in identifying process improvements and opportunities.
  • Processing of MRB nonconformances
  • Supports the Program, Operations, Engineering, and Quality teams with data analytics for improvement processes.

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree or a minimum of 2 years experience performing Quality Assurance inspections, responsibilities, or compliance related activities. Or Master's degree with 0 years of experience performing Quality Assurance inspections, responsibilities, or compliance related activities; Or 6 years of experience performing Quality Assurance inspections in lieu of degree.
  • Familiarity with Root Cause and Corrective Action activities and or exercises
  • Basic understanding of nonconforming material inspection concepts
  • Experience inspecting or performing electronics manufacturing / repairs
  • Strong attention to detail required as this position requires processing data and tracking requirements across several programs simultaneously
  • Ability to work with all levels of management, generate metrics, and utilization of excellent communication skills are a must.
  • Able to obtain an Active Secret clearance or higher.

Preferred qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree (STEM)
  • Experience with manufacturing and repair systems, MES, IMRO, and GOLD.
  • 2+ years of electronics inspection, repair, or manufacturing experience
  • Experience with agile processes and tools
  • Proficiency in SharePoint and Excel
  • Excellent skills in critical thinking, and technical writing

Primary Level Salary Range: $65,500.00 - $98,300.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
