We are seeking a Quality Analyst (Tester) to join our team. This role will involve analyzing business requirements, developing detailed test plans, executing application testing, and validating results across enterprise systems. The ideal candidate will have experience in testing Java-based applications, database validation using DB2/PostgreSQL, and a passion for delivering high-quality software solutions in a fast-paced environment.

Location: Atlanta, Georgia 30303 (Onsite – Local Candidates Only)
Duration: 1 Year
Job Description:

We are looking for a skilled and experienced Quality Analyst (Tester) to support enterprise application testing initiatives. Under general supervision, the candidate will analyze user requirements, develop test cases, execute testing activities, and validate application functionality to ensure quality and accuracy of software solutions.

This role involves testing Java-based applications and working with database technologies such as DB2 and PostgreSQL. The candidate will also be responsible for identifying defects, logging issues in Jira, and supporting testing activities throughout the software development lifecycle.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Analyze business requirements and develop detailed test plans, test scenarios, and test cases
  • Perform testing activities for Java-based applications on distributed platforms
  • Validate data using SQL queries in DB2 and PostgreSQL environments
  • Execute test program changes, update test files, run tests, and review results
  • Identify, document, and track defects using Jira
  • Prepare program-level and user-level documentation to support the SDLC
  • Work closely with developers, business analysts, and stakeholders to ensure successful testing outcomes
  • Support integration testing, system testing, and deployment activities
  • Ensure software enhancements improve system efficiency and performance

Required Skills & Experience:
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in testing Java-based applications
  • Strong experience with DB2 and PostgreSQL including data validation and SQL queries
  • Experience writing and executing test cases and supporting full software development lifecycle
  • Hands-on experience using Jira for defect tracking and test management
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
  • Experience preparing technical and user-level documentation
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work with business users for sign-off
  • Must be local to Metro Atlanta
  • Onsite work is required
