Job Summary
 
The Product Quality Analyst combines software QA, business analysis, and product evaluation to ensure software meets both technical specifications and business goals. This role covers the full development lifecycle, from requirements and user stories through acceptance testing and deployment and serves as Subject Matter Expert (SME) for assigned applications
Essential Duties and Responsibilities 
The following duties are normal for this position. These are not to be construed as exclusive or all-inclusive. Other duties may be required and assigned.
 
  • Develop, execute, and maintain test plans, test cases, test scripts, and related testing documentation.
  • Perform functional, regression, integration, and user acceptance testing for software releases.
  • Collaborate with business users and technical teams to gather, analyze, and document business and functional requirements.
  • Create user stories, process flows, mockups, and supporting documentation as needed.
  • Serve as a liaison between business stakeholders, development teams, and vendors to clarify requirements and priorities.
  • Track, document, and coordinate resolution of software defects and enhancement requests.
  • Support Agile delivery processes, including backlog grooming, sprint planning, and JIRA story management.
  • Perform data analysis and operational validation activities to support troubleshooting and reporting needs.
  • Maintain working knowledge of assigned applications and provide end-user support as needed.
  • Recommend process improvements and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the SDLC.
 
Knowledge and Skill Requirements
 
  • Associate degree required; bachelor’s degree preferred in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Analysis, or related field. Equivalent experience may substitute for education.
  • Minimum three (3) years of experience in software QA testing, business analysis, systems analysis, or product analysis.
  • Experience developing test cases and validating requirements for software applications.
  • Working knowledge of Agile methodologies and software development lifecycle (SDLC) practices.
  • Experience with tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Zephyr, Xray, HP Quality Center, or similar platforms.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Ability to translate business needs into clear, testable requirements and acceptance criteria.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
  • Basic understanding of databases, software deployments, and application support processes is preferred.
  • Professional certifications such as ISTQB, CBAP, PMI-PBA, CSM, or SAFe are a plus.
