Job description

Summary of Position

The Product Quality Advisor is responsible for overseeing brand protection, quality assurance, and compliance across assigned Tidal Wave Auto Spa locations by managing and coaching a team of Internal Auditors. This role ensures that systems, processes, and procedures consistently meet Tidal Wave's quality standards, operational expectations, and regulatory requirements.

The Product Quality Advisor plays a critical role in driving continuous improvement and protecting the integrity of the Tidal Wave brand. This position requires hands-on engagement with site teams and Internal Auditors.

Duties and Responsibilities

Leadership & Team Oversight

  • Directly manage, coach, and develop Internal Auditors to ensure high-quality, consistent site assessments.
  • Serve as a mentor and career development resource for Internal Auditors, supporting their progression toward Site Leader roles.
  • Set expectations, monitor performance, and ensure accountability for audit quality, accuracy, and timeliness.
  • Partner with Operations leadership to align quality initiatives with business goals.
  • Staff and organize the territories based on economics, flight ability, and time restraints.

Site Assessments & Quality Assurance

  • Oversee and support regular on-site brand protection assessments to ensure adherence to Tidal Wave standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Ensure each site within the assigned region receives a minimum of one quality assessment per month.
  • Validate that scoring accurately reflects site performance, systems, and procedural compliance.
  • Identify trends, systemic gaps, and opportunities for operational improvement across sites.

Compliance & Risk Management

  • Ensure all regulatory, safety, and operational requirements are consistently met.
  • Identify non-compliance issues and work with site leadership to implement corrective actions.
  • Escalate critical risks or repeated non-compliance to Operations leadership as appropriate.
  • Approve or deny expense reports based on Tidal Wave policy standards.

Reporting & Continuous Improvement

  • Review and analyze audit findings and reports for accuracy and consistency.
  • Communicate insights, recommendations, and trends to leadership in a clear, actionable manner.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on quality, efficiency, and brand consistency.
  • Influence process and system improvements through data-driven recommendations.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Proven leadership or consulting experience in a multi-site retail, hospitality, or service-oriented environment.
  • Strong understanding of operational excellence, quality assurance, and KPI management.
  • Demonstrated ability to coach, influence, and develop team members.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to influence systematic decisions.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Ability to conduct site assessments, identify gaps, and clearly communicate solutions.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, or a related field (preferred).
  • Thorough knowledge of quality assurance methodologies and operational standards.
  • Minimum of 2+ years of operational leadership experience in the hospitality or car wash industry.
  • Experience with site management, audits, and team coaching required.

Work Environment & Travel
Flexibility to work outside of standard business hours may be required to support business operations.

  • Occasional travel on behalf of Tidal Wave may be necessary.
