Position Summary

Service technician who performs various tasks in a Service Facility related to Gamma Radiography, NDT related products and services and radioactive source recovery from industrial gauges.

Primary Responsibilities

Upon completion of an in-depth QSA Global, Inc. Training Program:

  • Service and repair of Gamma RT equipment, consisting of controls, guide tubes, exposure devices etc.
  • Handling Radioactive sources and loading gamma radiography sources into devices
  • Source removal from industrial devices for recycling/disposal
  • Shipping and receiving radioactive and non-radioactive products
  • Calibration of instruments when needed
  • Metal cutting, grinding, welding, etc. to disassemble industrial equipment.
  • Extensive record keeping subject to regulatory audits.
  • Operate a variety of radiation detection and monitoring instrumentation.
  • Perform leak tests, transfers and disposals of sealed radioactive sources.
  • Perform radiation and contamination surveys and decontamination activities
  • Perform math calculations and data entry on a PC.
  • Perform work as part of a team with the highest regard for safety and quality.
  • Act as team member in an emergency response situation
  • Perform detailed work with remote Manipulators
  • Support various operations as required

Job Requirements

  • Computer literate
  • Ability to lift 75 lbs.
  • Able to pass extensive background test to handle radioactive material.
  • Perform tasks in a safe manner and according to company guidelines
  • Minimum of High School Diploma or GED required
  • Minimum of 1 Year industrial or mechanical experience required
  • Basic knowledge of Radioactive materials, NDT or strong mechanical skills/aptitude
