EnerMech is seeking an experienced Global QHSE Compliance Manager to lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of our Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental Management System across a global operational footprint.

This highly visible role will partner with executive leadership, operational teams, and customers to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, international standards, and industry best practices while driving a culture of operational excellence and continuous improvement. The successful candidate will serve as a subject matter expert in QHSE governance, compliance, auditing, risk management, and management systems, helping to strengthen performance and consistency across multiple regions and business units worldwide.

Job Description:

  • Partner with Senior Management, Global Business Lines (GBLs), Geographic Operations (GEOs), and QHSE teams to implement, verify, and continuously improve the QHSE Management System (MS) across the organization.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain the QHSE Management System to ensure compliance with customer requirements, regulatory obligations, industry best practices, and international standards while driving continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Lead and coordinate internal and external audits, inspections, assessments, and verification activities, ensuring corrective and preventive actions are effectively implemented and closed.
  • Manage relationships with external certification bodies and maintain compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 standards.
  • Support global contract reviews, customer bid submissions, gap analyses, bridging documents, and project risk assessments to ensure alignment with QHSE requirements.
  • Oversee customer prequalification processes, evaluating contractual QHSE requirements, identifying gaps, and providing recommendations to ensure compliance.
  • Maintain the Corporate Risk Register and ensure risk assessments, hazard identification processes, and mitigation strategies are effectively implemented and monitored.
  • Analyze, trend, and communicate QHSE performance metrics, leading and lagging indicators, and key business intelligence to support data-driven decision-making.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of QHSE systems, processes, and tools, working closely with Operations and QHSE leadership to identify opportunities for improvement and develop corrective action plans.
  • Ensure the accuracy, consistency, and integrity of QHSE reports, investigations, assessments, corrective actions, communications, and management system documentation.
  • Prepare and deliver presentations, reports, and compliance updates to executive leadership, customers, and key stakeholders.
  • Facilitate Management of Change (MOC) processes and committees to ensure operational risks are properly evaluated and controlled.
  • Oversee incident reporting, investigation, root cause analysis, accountability reviews, and regulatory/customer notifications while verifying the effectiveness of corrective actions.
  • Lead crisis management and emergency response preparedness programs, ensuring processes and procedures remain effective and compliant.
  • Collaborate with QHSE Systems and Data teams to ensure regulatory, customer, industry, and internal reporting requirements are completed accurately and on time.
  • Develop and deliver QHSE Management System training programs and maintain organizational training matrices.
  • Manage environmental compliance programs, including waste management, hazardous materials, wastewater and stormwater compliance, spill prevention and reporting, air permitting, environmental risk assessments, and regulatory reporting requirements.
  • Oversee occupational health and industrial hygiene programs, including exposure monitoring, respiratory protection, chemical management, SDS administration, and workplace health assessments.
  • Drive a culture of compliance, accountability, and continuous improvement across global operations while supporting the organization's commitment to operational excellence.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, Industrial Hygiene, Quality Management, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum 10 years of progressive QHSE experience, including significant experience within compliance, management systems, auditing, and continuous improvement in a global or multi-site environment.
  • Demonstrated experience developing, implementing, auditing, and improving integrated management systems in accordance with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 standards.
  • Proven experience leading internal audits, external certification audits, regulatory inspections, corrective action programs, risk assessments, Management of Change (MOC), and incident investigation processes.
  • Strong knowledge of occupational safety, environmental compliance, industrial hygiene, hazardous materials management, and applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Experience supporting customer prequalification processes, contract reviews, bid submissions, and compliance gap analyses.
  • Ability to analyze and communicate QHSE performance metrics, identify trends, and influence operational and executive leadership to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Experience working within energy services, oil and gas, industrial services, manufacturing, engineering, construction, or other high-risk operational environments.
  • Professional certifications such as CSP, CIH, NEBOSH, Lead Auditor, CQA, CHMM, or equivalent are highly desirable.
  • Demonstrated success building relationships and influencing stakeholders across multiple business units, regions, and levels of leadership within a global organization.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to prepare and deliver presentations, reports, and recommendations to customers, regulators, and executive leadership teams.
