Kelly Science & Clinical has a new temporary opportunity for a QC Lab Technician in Covington, VA!
A Temporary Opportunity
Pay: $20/hour
Shift: M-F 8am-5pm
Summary:
Conduct chemical and physical testing of raw materials, in-process, and finished products to ensure compliance with specifications. Prepare reagents, maintain analytical equipment and lab cleanliness, document results per GLP/GMP standards, and support continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Test and analyze raw materials, WIPs, and finished products using various lab techniques
  • Compare results to supplier and company specifications, report non-conforming materials
  • Record and document test results accurately in lab notebooks/electronic files
  • Prepare and standardize laboratory reagents and ensure equipment calibration
  • Maintain inventory of chemicals and supplies
  • Support sample shipment, customer service, and R&D projects
  • Participate in lab and safety improvement efforts
  • Monitor metal detection and feed safety devices
  • Comply with safety and environmental policies
Qualifications:
  • AAS in chemistry (minimum one year analytical chemistry experience and three years in a lab preferred)
  • Able to stand, walk, and occasionally lift up to 50 lbs
  • Experience with lab equipment (balances, titrators, microscopes, etc.)
  • Familiarity with hazardous materials
  • Ability to work other shifts as needed
